Commercial Rendering Sydney

Commercial rendering is judged on program as much as on finish. A retail tenant losing trading days costs far more than the render does, and a builder with a handover date does not have room in the schedule for a trade that turns up when it suits them.

We work commercial across Sydney. Shopfronts, hospitality and retail fitouts, strata and unit block facades, industrial and warehouse buildings, and new commercial construction.

Working around a trading business

Most retail and hospitality work happens after hours or over a weekend, because the space has to be open during the week. We are set up for it and we price it transparently rather than quoting a day rate and adding a surprise loading later.

Working overnight in an occupied building means real attention to noise, dust containment and leaving the space genuinely usable by opening time. Not tidy enough to work around, actually finished and clean.

Strata and unit block facades

Sydney has a very large stock of three and four storey walk up blocks from the fifties through the seventies, and a lot of them are now due for remedial facade work. These jobs come with requirements a house never has. Scaffold and access approvals, resident notification, staged works so the building stays usable, and documentation for the managing agent and the committee.

The technical challenge is achieving a consistent finish across elevations that have weathered very differently. A north facing wall that has taken forty years of sun does not look like the south facing wall behind the trees, and matching the two takes deliberate work.

Fitouts and new commercial construction

On a fitout we are usually rendering columns, bulkheads, blade walls and feature elements, working in a sequence with a lot of other trades in a small space. Coordination matters as much as the render.

On new commercial construction we work to the specification and the program, we provide the documentation the builder needs, and we hold our dates. Being the trade that does not hold up the following trade is worth more on a commercial site than being the cheapest quote.

Insurance, licensing and compliance

Commercial sites ask for paperwork and we have it. Public liability insurance, workers compensation, a current NSW building licence, SWMS for the work we are doing, and white cards for everyone on site.

We can provide all of it up front with a quote rather than scrambling for it the day before we are due on site.

Commercial Rendering questions

Yes. A large share of our retail and hospitality work is done overnight or over a weekend so the business can keep trading. We show the after hours loading on the quote up front rather than adding it later. Working in an occupied building means proper dust containment and leaving the space genuinely clean and usable by opening, which we treat as part of the job rather than an extra.
